I am a carer for my husband but need to stay away from home from time to time. We have had the same carer from Whitehills for more than a year. Gillian moves in and is like one of the family. My husband always looks forward to seeing her. She is as much a companion as a carer. I know that I can leave him with complete confidence.

For us the most important thing was Mother felt very comfortable with you all right from the beginning - it was not an easy decision for her to accept that she needed the extra help but you have all made the transition seamless for her. You are all very professional, reliable, helpful and kind and she really looks forward to your arrival morning and evening. For us, as her children, it has taken quite a lot of pressure off us and, although we can cope with appointments, shopping etc, during the day, we very much appreciate your help at either end of the day.

Following a short stay in hospital, the team provided daily home care. The carers were well trained, patient with my mobility aids, and respectful of my preferences. We had one minor scheduling hiccup in the first week, but it was resolved quickly and the care since has been very reliable. I''m regaining confidence and appreciate their support.
